What is an Eruv?

Eruv is a Hebrew word meaning "mixture" and in our case refers to a boundary that surrounds our community and allows our observant Jewish community to carry objects within it during Shabbat. You can read more about what an eruv is here.

Our eruv covers most of Mercer Island and is checked regularly by members of Congregation Shevet Achim.
